COVID-19: Restrictions on public transport imposed in Pulwama

PULWAMA — A day after authorities ordered restrictions on public transport in Srinagar, authorities have decided to suspend the movement of public transport in south Kashmir’s Pulwama district.

According to reports, the movement of public transport shall remain suspended in the district as a precautionary measure to avert the threat of spread of COVID-19 for safety of public till further orders, said Deputy Commissioner (DC) Pulwama, Dr Raghav Langer.

It is worthwhile to mention here that the first positive case of deadly Coronavirus was reported in Kashmir on Wednesday evening.

The woman who had arrived in Kashmir from Saudi Arabia on March 16 was tested positive and has been kept in isolation by the authorities.

The total toll of positive cases in Jammu and Kashmir has mounted to four including three from Jammu and one from Kashmir.
