COVID-19: Two bakers test positive in Pulwama village

PULWAMA — Consequent upon random aggressive sampling taking place in red zone villages of Pulwama district, two bakers belonging to common family in Pinglena village have tested positive for COVID-19.

A total of 21 cases have tested positive of COVID-19 in the district including 12 active positive cases besides 9 recovered ones.

As per an official, aggressive contact tracing has been initiated and all the contacts are being sampled, besides placing the suspects in administrative quarantine.

It is pertinent to mention that Pinglena village has already been declared as red zone and district authorities have appealed the people to obey lockdown restrictions and cooperate with the Administration for complete containment of COVID-19.
