PULWAMA — Department of Industries and Commerce has asked all the industrial holders in Pulwama to refrain from any operation in their industrial units that fall in the notified red-zones.

Three COVID-19 cases surfaced in south Kashmir’s Pulwama district out of which one patient has recovered and was discharged from the hospital. There are still two active positive cases in the district.

Official sources said that seven areas in the district have been declared red zones which include Abhama, Chandgam, Gudoora, Khaigam, Parigam, Pinglena and Sangarwani.

General Manager, District Industries Centre Pulwama said that on the directions of Director Industries and Commerce, unit holders have been directed not to start operations if their units fall in any red zone. “This is for the safety of the people and action will be initiated against those who violate the formal order,” he said.
