CRPF trooper allegedly dies by suicide in Srinagar’s Shivpora

SRINAGAR — A Central Reserve Police Force (CRPF) trooper allegedly died by suicide in Shivpora area of central Kashmir’s Srinagar district on Sunday.

Unnamed officials, quoted by the news agency NVI, said that the CRPF trooper (name withheld) from Tripura state shot himself dead with his service rifle.

As per the reports, the CRPF trooper was posted in 61 Battalion of the CRPF.

Meanwhile, the local police have taken cognizance of the incident.
