Driver dies after tipper turns turtle in Pampore

SRINAGAR — A tipper driver died on spot after his vehicle turned turtle near Wuyan area of Pampore town here in south Kashmir’s Pulwama district.

Police sources said that a tipper (JK01AL-5859) was ferrying boulders when driver lost control over it and it turned turtle, resulting in the on-spot death of its driver.

Sources identified the deceased driver as Abdul Gani Dar son of Ghulam Ahmed Dar, a resident of Wathpora Lasjan area in Srinagar outskirts. The slain driver was over 50 years old.

Meanwhile, Police has registered a case in this regard.
