SRINAGAR — A truck driver was killed while as its conductor was injured after the vehicle fell into a deep gorge at Margan top area of southern Kashmir’s Anantnag district.
Unnamed officials, quoted by the news agency GNS, said that a truck carrying bricks from Anantnag to Warwan lost its control at Margan top and fell into a deep gorge.
Soon after the unfortunate incident, a team of police and locals rushed to the spot to rescue the driver and conductor. Both were shifted to a nearby hospital, however, the driver of the truck was declared dead, where as the conductor is being treated at the hospital.
Meanwhile, police have registered a case in this regard and investigation has been taken up.
