Female body recovered from Nallah Sindh in Ganderbal

GANDERBAL — A female body was recovered from Nallah Sindh near Gonchi Mohalla Akhal Kangan in central Kashmir’s Ganderbal district on Tuesday.

An official said that some locals found a body floating in the Nallah Sindh. He said after getting information about it, police team reached the spot and retrieved the body from the spot.

Identifying the deceased as Rubeena Jan wife of Abdul Majeed Khan a resident of Gonchi Mohalla of the district, a police official said that “the woman was missing since July 11.”

“The body is presently lying at sub district hospital Kangan and will be handed over to the family after all necessary formalities”, the official said, adding that “a case under relevant Sections of law has also been registered and further investigation is on.”
