SOPORE — A barrack of an Army camp was damaged on Sunday in a massive blaze that broke out in 27 Rashtriya Rifles (RR) Army camp, located at Sangri top area of Watlab in north Kashmir’s Bandipora district.

Officials said that the fire broke out in Army camp where large quantities of fuel, firearms and ammunition are stored.

The cause of fire was not immediately known, they said. However, they said no loss of life or injury has been reported so far.

A police officer also confirmed the incident and said fire tenders have reached the spot and are dousing the flames. He said one barrack in the camp has been damaged so far.
