Five shops gutted in fire mishap in Lolab

SRINAGAR — Five shops were gutted in a fire incident on Saturday late evening at Krosen Lolab area of north Kashmir’s Kupwara district.

Reports reaching here said that fire broke out in one of the shops at around 9 PM and engulfed at least 5 shops in which worth lakhs of rupees in these shops turned into ashes.

Reports further said that fire tenders, police and locals managed to douse off the flames and put fire under control. However, five shops were destroyed including a medical shop, computer shop and other shops, a police officer said, adding, the cause of fire is being ascertained.
