Forceful anti-India demos to be held in IaK after Eid prayers

Srinagar: In Indian administered Kashmir, Saturday, the 27th October will be marked by anti-India and pro-liberation protests to convey to the world that the Kashmiris reject the India’s illegal occupation of their homeland.
It was on this day in 1947 when Indian troops landed in Srinagar and forcibly occupied Jammu and Kashmir in total disregard to the partition plan of the Subcontinent and the Kashmiris’ aspirations.
The veteran Kashmiri Hurriyat leader, Syed Ali Geelani has appealed to the people to hold demonstrations after Namaz-e-Eid on this day. The APHC Chairman Mirwaiz Umar Farooq and Syed Ali Geelani have said that resolutions will be passed in all Eid congregations on the day to emphasise that the people of Kashmir will continue their liberation struggle despite Indian state terrorism.
A function was organised by the Jammu and Kashmir Salvation Movement at the APHC headquarters in Srinagar. It was largely attended by the relatives of liberation martyrs. Addressing on the occasion, the Mirwaiz said that the sacrifices would not be allowed to go waste and the ongoing liberation movement would be taken to its logical conclusion against all odds. Other speakers included Zafar Akbar Butt, Syed Bashir Andrabi, Syed Saleem Gilani and Ghulam Muhammad Nagu.
Senior APHC leader, Shabbir Ahmad Shah visited Sopore and expressed solidarity with the family of two youth, who were recently martyred by the Indian troops. Addressing the mourners on the occasion, he said that the sacrifices of the Kashmiri martyrs had centre staged the Kashmir dispute at the global level. His address was frequently punctuated by pro-freedom slogans.
In the meantime, two Indian troops of 35 Rashtriya Rifles were killed when their vehicle came under fire in mysterious conditions at Chattergam.
