
SRINAGAR — An improvised explosive device (IED) was detected and defused on Tuesday morning by the security forces in Humhama area of Airport road in central Kashmir.
A police official told news agency Kashmir Dot Com (KDC) that an IED planted in a steel container weighing approximately 6 kg was detected near Gogoo Gali at Humhama area of Airport road.
He said a bomb disposal team was dispatched to the spot and was later diffused without causing any loss of life or damage.
A case under relevant sections of law is being registered in this regard and further investigation is on, he added.
