Ganderbal Police files charge-sheet in ‘HM module’ case

SRINAGAR — Ganderbal police on Thursday produced a charge-sheet against an ‘HM module’, it claims to have busted in the district in September 2020.

A statement received here reads that, “On September 14, 2020, one HM Module comprising of three youth, namely Arshid Ahmad Khan son of Mohd Altaf Khan resident of Wayil Wudder, Majid Rasool Rather son of Ghulam Rasool Rather resident of Beehama Ganderbal and Mohd Aasif Najar son of Abdul Razaq Najar resident of Beehama Ganderbal was busted by Ganderbal Police.”

“The trio had come in contact with a Pakistan-based Kashmiri militant namely Fayaz Ahmad Khan son of Abdul Dawood Khan resident of Gutlibagh and were being handled by him from across to take up various militant and subversive activities in the district,” it claims.

“They were accordingly booked in a case under FIR Number 199/2020 U/S 7/25 IAA, 13, 18, 20, 23, 39, UA(P)A at Police Station Ganderbal and three hand grenades were recovered on their instance,” the statement maintains.

“After obtaining the sanction for prosecution from the Govt of UT of J&K, Challan against the four accused persons was produced before the competent Honourable Court of Law for its judicial determination,” the statement read further.
