Gunmen loot bank, decamp with rifle in north Kashmir

SRINAGAR — Police on Thursday said four armed men decamped with cash and 12 bore rifle from a security guard at J&K Bank in Khore Pattan area of north Kashmir’s Baramulla district.

Senior Superintendent of Police Baramulla, Rayees Ahmad said that four armed men, wearing PPE suits, looted some cash and snatched a 12 bore rifle at J&K Bank Sherabad Khore in Pattan and fled from the spot.

The security guard got minor injuries during the scuffle with armed militants and is stable, as per the police.

Meanwhile, police have rushed to the spot to access the further details of the incident and have registered a case under relevant sections of law and have launched a manhunt to nab the armed robbers.
