‘Habitual’ drug peddler booked under PSA in Pulwama

PULWAMA — Jammu and Kashmir Police today booked a ‘notorious’ drug peddler under Public Safety Act (PSA).

A police official said that the said drug peddler was involved in multiple drug-related cases while in recent past, he was yet again arrested in a similar case and a formal FIR was lodged against him at Police Station Awantipora.

The official identified the durg peddler as Waseem Ahmad Trag, a resident resident of Tral area of south Kashmir’s Pulwama district.

The police official said that general public of Tral area appreciated the role of police for the actions against drug peddlers.

“General Public of Tral, Awantpora, Pampore and Khrew are requested to come forward with any information regarding drug peddlers in their neighbourhood area.

“Persons found indulging in drug peddling will be dealt strictly under law,” police said.
