
SRINAGAR — Family members of Hurriyat (G) leader Ayaz Akbar on Tuesday said that the health of jailed Hurriyat leader is worsening day by day and appealed authorities to provide him proper medical aid.
Talking over phone, family of Mohammad Ayaz Akbar said the jailed Hurriyat (G) leader is suffering from fever from last two weeks and is not being properly treated by Tihar jail authorities.
Family said that they are apprehensive about his health as the jail is packed with inmates and there is a threat of COVID-19 infection. “But jail authorities are unmoved. He is suffering from fever and authorities have not taken his sample for COVID-19. They are delaying it due to unknown reasons,” they said.
They appealed authorities to provide him best possible medical treatment.
