IED detected in Awantipora Pulwama

SRINAGAR — Police and security forces on Monday detected an Improvised Explosive Device (IED) in Awantipora area in south Kashmir’s Pulwama district, official sources said.

They said that the IED was found in an orchard near Panzgam area of Awantipora.

A Bomb Disposal Squad has been rushed to the area to defuse the device, the sources said.

Later, the IED was diffused and area was being sanitized by the security forces.
