Incessant Rains: Control Room set up at Police Control Room Batamalloo

Srinagar: A control room has been set up at the Police Control Room Batmalloo, Srinagar, to monitor the flood situation that has arisen due to incessant rains in Kashmir for past few days.
The officers of all Engineering, Health, Housing and other concerned departments have been stationed in the control room. They are monitoring the situation and coordinating to prevent any loss of human lives and property besides, extending help to the people wherever required.
Accordingly, under emergency circumstances, the people are informed to contact on phone numbers: 0194-2474040, 2452138, 2455883 for any kind of help from the Government.
Earlier, an advisory was issued asking the people living on the banks of rivers and other water bodies to move to safer places until the rain stops and water level comes down.
Meanwhile, a team of the officers of Estates Department headed by the Director Estates this evening inspected various hotels occupied by the Government for housing durbar employees and took stock of the shifting of the employees to other hotels. The shifting of employees has become necessary following water entering the hotels. The Director was informed that all employees staying in affected hotels have been shifted to suitable places.
