J-K Police recovers ₹45,000 fake currency

SRINAGAR — J-K Police on Wednesday recovered Rs 45000 fake currency after intercepting a private vehicle at Narbal in the outskirts of Kashmir capital Srinagar.

Official sources told Srinagar based news agency Kashmir Dot Com (KDC) that a Police party today intercepted one vehicle, EST JK01AB 9599, near Narbal bridge and during search of the said vehicle, it recovered Rs. 40000-45000 fake currency.

Police have seized the vehicle, two laptops and an equal number of printers. Four persons have also been arrested in the case, sources said.

They have been identified as Tawfeeq Ahmad Khawja of Baliharan Singhpora Pattan, Abdul Hameed Ganie of Buran Pattan, Farooq Ahmad Ganie of Kalsari Pattan, and Nazir Ahmad Bhat of Renzipora Awantipora.
