J&K Police apprehend woman, recover stolen money worth over Rs 23 lakhs

SRINAGAR — In a significant development, Srinagar Police apprehended a woman in connection with a substantial sum of stolen money in Srinagar.

Identified as Nusrat Nisar, wife of Nisar Ahmad Kuchay and resident of Barsoo Awantipora, the accused was found in possession of a considerable amount totalling Rs. 23,46,000.

The arrest follows a diligent effort by law enforcement, with Srinagar Police recovering the stolen money.

A case has been registered under FIR No. 69/2024, citing sections 454 and 380 of the Indian Penal Code, at Police Station Saddar. The accused has been taken into custody as the investigation progresses.
