PULWAMA — A Kashmiri Pandit passed away due to cardiac arrest on Wednesday in southern Kashmir’s Pulwama district, according to official sources.

The deceased, identified as Gayan Bhat from Tahab, had been residing in Jammu. Sources reported that Bhat was visiting relatives in Pulwama when he experienced chest pain during the night hours. He was swiftly rushed to the District Hospital Pulwama, where medical personnel pronounced him deceased.

The sudden demise of Gayan Bhat has cast a pall of mourning over the community, prompting arrangements for his final rites. Officials have indicated that his body will be dispatched to Jammu once road clearance is ensured, facilitating the completion of his last rites in his hometown.
