SRINAGAR — Top LeT commander among two militants were killed in a nocturnal gunfight which raged between militants and goverment forces in Wathoora area of central Kashmir’s Budgam district on Wednesday.
A senior Police official said that two militants were killed in an exchange of firing in Wathoora. However, their identification is yet to be ascertained, the officer said.
As per the sources, two LeT militants – including its commander – were killed. Reportedly, one among the slain militant is believed to be Hilal Ahmad Alias Abu Maaz resident of Yaripora Kulgam. He was active since 2015.
While the other one is yet to be identified. He could be a foreigner. (GNS)
