
SRINAGAR — An active militant of Lashkar-e-Toiba was apprehended by a joint team of forces at a Naka checking in Pachhaar area of south Kashmir’s Pulwama district.
An official told news agency Kashmir News Observer (KNO) that acting on specific inputs about militant movement, a joint team of forces laid a Naka in Pachhaar area of Pulwama on Monday evening.
“During checking at Naka, a militant of LeT was apprehended,” the official said and identified the arrested militant as Ishfaq Ahmad Dar of Kothipora, Chatergam Nowgam in district Budgam.
“One grenade besides other ammunition has been recovered from his possession,” the official said, adding that police have taken cognisance of the issue and further investigation has been set into motion.
