Literary event THE MOMENT I NEVER SPENT goes online amid pandemic in Kashmir

SRINAGAR — Amid the terror of Coronavirus pandemic coupled with the resultant lockdown which has aggravating depression among youth, ‘The Shared Pen Official’ — an online platform for writers — is launching an online literary event.

With the theme being “The Moment I Never Spent”, the event is expected to bring a galaxy of budding writers under one roof of creativity in presence of prominent writers like Shikha Jamwal, Azra Mufti and Qasim Kashmiri.

“These prominent writers, in a quality environment, will boost the morale of the budding writers and will enhance their chances of becoming accomplished writers,” organizers said.

The event, according to the organizing team, will be held online from 17th to 24th of August.

In a statement, the organizers said, “Such writing competitions will definitely develop critical thinking among the budding writers which is the actual aim of this platform. As we all know, writing expresses who we are as people. So to carve out hidden talents, such thought-provoking themes foster our ability to explain our ability and refine our ideas and connect us emotionally with thousands. Indeed, such creative themes help us to groom ourselves and grow intellectually.”

“For more information and to register for the event, interested people can visit ‘The Shared Pen Official’ on Instagram,” the statement added.
