A view of market in Pulwama town after Coronavirus-induced lockdown was eased.

PULWAMA — Deputy Commissioner Pulwama, Dr Raghav Langer today said that lockdown will continue in Pulwama.

Dr. Raghav said that lockdown enforcement will continue in Pulwama district till further orders besides added that the review regarding relaxations shall be considered only after there is a sustainable decline in the number of COVID-19 cases.

He said the situation in the district is alarming as there is continuous surge in the rate of positive cases. Infact, today itself a total of 105 COVID positive cases have been detected in the district.

He further said that only medical shops and health institutions will be allowed to remain open. Banks will remain open but there will be no public dealings. “All shops & business establishments shall remain closed till further orders.”

“Vehicles carrying essential supplies, material for developmental works to be allowed along with vehicles of employees on COVID duty after checking their ID cards.” No public transport shall be allowed on roads, the DC added.
