Make strike of 7th February a success: Geelani

Srinagar: Terming the shifting of Kashmiri prisoners to jails outside valley as grave human rights violation Chairman APHC has reiterated the strike call for 7th February. He said that government was taking revenge from the detainees even in the jails and the motive behind migrating them to jails outside valley was to torture them and their families mentally.
Thanking the people of Pakistan for showing solidarity with the people of Kashmir on the eve of Kashmir Solidarity Day the octogenarian leader said that Kashmir imbroglio has just one solution and that is to solve it in accordance with the wishes of the people. He said that it will help in consolidating Pakistan and the country cannot choose to overlook the issue.
He said that world over prisoners rights have been recognized and applied but in Kashmir the government is seeking political revenge from the prisoners and shifting them to jails outside valley was a part of it.
Mr. Geelani said that these prisoners are giving a great sacrifice for the nation and the people can never forget these sacrifices.
Reiterating his call for complete shutdown on 7th February he hoped that traders, transporters and people from other walks of life will do their bit to make the strike successful.
Geelani pressed upon the government of Pakistan to up the diplomatic ante over Kashmir issue.
