Malik to appear before Islamabad court

Srinagar, Apr 01: District & Sessions Judge Islamabad Pakistan has issued a notice to Jammu and Kashmir Liberation Front Chairman Mohammad Yasin Malik asking him to appear before the Commission in person on April 4 for statement/cross examination. “Whereas the Commission comprising of Justice Qazi Faez Isa, (Chairman), Chief Justice of Balochistan High Court, Justice Iqbal Hameed-ur-Rahman (Member), Chief Justice, Islamabad High Court and Justice Mushir Alam (Member) Chief Justice, High Court of Sindh, constituted by the Supreme Court of Pakistan vide Order dated December 30, 2011 passed in Constitution Petitions Nos. 77 to 85 and 89 of 2011 and CMA No 5505/2011 in Constitutional Petition No 79 of 2011 has restarted its proceedings. The next date fixed for proceedings is Thursday April 5,” the notice reads. “You are, therefore, required to appear before the Commission in person in Court No 1 of the Islamabad High Court, Islamabad on April 5 for statement/cross examination,” it added. –KNS
