BUDGAM — Two persons were electrocuted while working at a bandsaw in central Kashmir’s Budgam district. One of them died while another is battling for life.
The incident occurred at a private bandsaw, located at Sonpah Beerwah area of Budgam.
Local sources said that two persons, namely Farooq Ahmed Najar (40) of Zanigam village and Ghulam Mohammad Najar (55), a resident of Katiruna hamlet, received electric shock at a bandsaw.
They were shifted to Sub-District Hospital Beerwah for treatment where one of them identified as Farooq Ahmed was declared dead.
The concerned Chief Medical Officer confirmed the death of Farooq Ahmed, saying another man is undergoing treatment.
