Srinagar, Dec 31: Authorities on Saturday slapped yet another Public Safety Act (PSA) on the separatist leader Masrat Alam immediately after the High Court quashed his detention, for the third time under PSA.
“The PSA was slapped on Alam and he is presently detained in District Jail Kathua,” police sources told Greater Kashmir.
Bhat, according to sources, was brought from Kathua jail on Thursday and produced before the court which ordered his release. “But he was again arrested under a fresh PSA,” sources added.
Alam was arrested on October 18, 2010, in connection with his alleged role in 2010 summer unrest, from city outskirts.
