Mentally unsound man’s body recovered from Wular Lake

SRINAGAR — Dead body of a 30-year-old mentally unsound man was recovered from Wular Lake near Laharwapora village in north Kashmir’s Bandipora district this afternoon.

Official sources said that the dead body of a 30-year-old mentally unsound man identified as Sarwar Ahmad Ganai son of late Ghulam Ahmad Ganai, a resident of Qazipora village in Bandipora, was recovered from Wular Lake near Laharwapora village.

The body was taken District Hospital Bandipora for completion of medico-legal formalities and will be handed over to his family for last rites after completing legal formalities, sources said.

Meanwhile, a police officer while confirming the incident, said that a case regarding the incident stands registered and further investigation is on.
