SRINAGAR — Jammu and Kashmir Police and Indian Army’s Rashtriya Rifles jointly busted a militant hideout in the forest area of Syedabad Pastuna Tral sub-division of south Kashmir’s Pulwama district which was subsequently destroyed.

Police said that based on a credible input, the police in Awantipora along with the soldiers of 42 Rashtriya Rifles busted a militant hideout.

“Incriminating materials of proscribed militant outfit JeM and materials like edible items, utensils etc. were recovered from the said hideout,” the police said, adding that all the recovered materials have been taken into police custody for the purpose of investigation.

A formal case in this regard has been registered at Police Station Awantipora.
