SRINAGAR — An unidentified militant has been killed in an overnight gunfight in Lolab forests in northern Kashmir’s Kupwara district on Wednesday.
Unnamed official sources, quoted by the news agency GNS, said that a militant has been killed in an operation which commenced yesterday late evening. The operation in the area is still underway.

It is in place to mention here that on Tuesday late evening, a joint team of police and army launched a cordon and search operation in Lolab forests after receiving specific input about the presence of some militants.
