SRINAGAR — Militants on late evening fired upon a Naka party of security forces in Sumbal area of north Kashmir’s Bandipora on Friday.

A senior police officer said that militants fired upon the joint Naka party at Sumbal, the fire was retaliated. However, in this incident, no loss of life or injury was reported, the officer added.

Meanwhile, the whole area has been cordoned off to nab the attackers.

In another attack, suspected militants lobbed a grenade towards police post Qaimoh in south Kashmir’s Kulgam district on Friday evening.

A senior Police officer said that militants lobbed a grenade on police post Qaimoh, however grenade missed the intended target. In this incident also, no loss of life or injury has been reported.

Meanwhile, forces have launched a manhunt to nab the attackers.
