Minor’s Death in Accident: FIR lodged against Army driver

SRINAGAR — Police on Saturday lodged a First Information Report (FIR) against an Army driver in connection with the death of a minor in Shadipora Kigam village in north Kashmir’s Kupwara district.

Identifying the driver as Naik Bagh Singh from 47 RR, Kigam Camp (B-Coy), an official said that FIR (151/2020) U/S 304A and 279 MVA was filed against him in connection with the incident involving the accidental death of a 12-year-old boy Farhan Ahmad Sher Gojri in Shadipora Kigam village on Friday last.

The boy, as per the reports, came under an Army vehicle. He sustained critical injuries and was evacuated to a nearby hospital. However, doctors declared him brought dead.
