Srinagar: Jamiat Ahlihadees (JAH) President Ghulam Rasool Malik, who led the funeral prayers of Muddasir Ahmed Malla of Parigam Pulwama, on Monday said that there were visible torture marks on the body of the victim.
Muddasir pursuing his doctorate at English and Foreign Languages University (EFLU) Hyderabad was found hanging in his hostel room late Saturday evening. His body arrived at his native village Parigam this afternoon.
Addressing mourners at Parigam Pulwama in south Kashmir the JAH president said: “If Muddasir was not killed by somebody, how come his body bore torture marks? From where did these marks come from? Couldn’t the doctors who examined him after death in Hyderabad see these visible marks? These visible torture marks clearly indicate that this poor Kashmiri Muslim was subjected to torture before being killed and only an impartial probe can bring out the truth in this regard.”
