PULWAMA — The new bus stand in Pulwama, which was established some four years ago in Drusoo area of the town, is in shambles, causing commuters to suffer.
As per the news agency KNO, people said that even brief showers result in waterlogging in the bus stand.
Ishfaq Ahmad, a passenger, said that the old stand was equipped with better facilities and here ‘we have to suffer on a daily basis’.
Shakeel Ahmad, another passenger, said that the government must take immediate steps to repair this stand so that passengers won’t suffer.
“There is no passenger shed, no rooms for drivers where they can rest besides no rooms for people who are running this stand,” he rued.
Passengers said that authorities are well aware of the issue but due to unknown reasons, no steps are being taken to repair it.
