
SRINAGAR — Two non-locals were fired upon by militants on Thursday in Magraypora area of central Kashmir’s Budgam district. In the attack, one of the injured succumbed to his bullet wounds.
A senior Police officer told GNS that two non-locals were fired upon by militants this evening in Magraypora. “One received a bullet wound in his hand and the other was shot in his shoulder. Both were immediately shifted to a nearby hospital for treatment,” the officer added.
Later, Medical Superintendent SMHS Hospital, Dr Kanwaljeet Singh confirmed to GNS that one among the non-locals succumbed to the injuries.
Sources identified the deceased as Dilkhush of Bihar, who was working as a labourer at a brick kiln.
Soon after the attack, the whole area has been cordoned off to nab the attackers.
