Observe shutdown on February 11: JKLF

Srinagar: Jammu and Kashmir Liberation Front has called for a complete shutdown on February 11 to mark the 27th martyrdom anniversary of its founder Mohammad Maqbool Butt.
While chairing a meeting at party headquarters today, JKLF chairman Mohammad Yasin Malik said the party would also hold seminars and rallies across the Valley prior to the February 11 shutdown.
“It was also decided that a peaceful protest march will be taken out from Lal Chowk to UNMOGIP office at Sonawar on Friday, February 10. Besides Jammu and Kashmir, similar rallies will be held on the day and the next day in Azad Kashmir, Pakistan, Saudi Arab, UAE, America, London and Europe by Kashmiris to pay tributes to the father of nation, Maqbool Butt, and in favour of return of his mortal remains from Delhi’s Tihar Jail,” according to a statement issued here.
Meanwhile, Malik also paid tributes to Wamiq Farooq on his death anniversary. “The sacrifices offered by our youth since 2008 have given the freedom struggle a completely new dimension with the world realizing the significance of peaceful struggles,” he said.
Vowing to take the martyrs’mission to its logical end, Malik slammed the authorities for letting “the killers of innocent civilians roam free.”
