SRINAGAR — Sudden snapping of mobile internet services in Srinagar district triggered panic with police terming it as an exercise that is part of a security drill ahead of upcoming polls on April 18.

According to reports, people of Srinagar woke up to the panicky morning as authorities had snapped mobile internet on all networks triggering a wave of panic all around.

Many people were trying to find out whether there was any encounter going on in Srinagar.

A top police officer however said that the internet was snapped as part of a “security drill” ahead of polls asserting that there was nothing to worry.
