PULWAMA — Pampore Police on Tuesday busted a large-scale illegal fuel trade in the town, seizing 18,797 litres of petroleum products and arresting three individuals involved in the racket. The operation was led by DySP (P) Shravan Singh and SHO Pampore under the supervision of SDPO Pampore, RP Singh.

Acting on credible inputs, police teams raided multiple locations across Pampore, uncovering unauthorized storage and sale of kerosene, diesel, and petrol.

The raids were conducted in coordination with officials from the Revenue Department, Metrology Department, and the Department of Food, Civil Supplies & Consumer Affairs to ensure transparency and legal compliance.

The arrested individuals have been identified as Mudassir Nabi Dar alias Bolla of Samboora; Danish Mushtaq Bhat of Bilal Colony Kadalbal, and Rameez Ahmad Bhat of Meej Pampore.

Police said the seized products were being traded without licenses and posed serious safety risks.

An FIR (No. 68/2025) has been registered at Police Station Pampore under relevant sections of law, and further investigation is underway to trace the full network behind the illegal operation.
