Police organizes rally against drug abuse in Awantipora

SRINAGAR — As a part of anti-drug drive week, Police on Monday organized an awareness programme about the ill effects of drug abuse on the society, besides organizing a drug de-addiction rally in Pampore area of Awantipora.

As per a statement issued here, SDPO Pampore and SHO Pampore held a detailed interaction with the respectables and students of Pampore at Police Station Pampore.

After the interaction, a rally was organized by Police to generate awareness against drug abuse and its ill effects on the society. The rally led by SDPO Pampore commenced from Police Station Pampore to Kadlabal, Drangabal & Namabal.

General public of the area applauded the role of Awantipora Police for creating such rallies in the area and assured their cooperation in sharing all information related illegal use of drugs.
