AWANTIPORA — Poppy crop spread over 15 kanals of land in south Kashmir was destroyed by the Awantipora Police, Excise and Revenue officials on Monday.
The team comprising Naib Tehsildar Abdul Hamid and SHO Police Station Awantipora, Ghulam Muhamamd Rather destroyed illicit poppy crop spread over 15 kanals of land in Auligund and Peernard villages of south Kashmir’s Tral town.
SHO Awantipora said that they had sophisticated grass cutter machines in place for the said drive. He said this drive will continue in future also.
