SRINAGAR — Authorities booked three youth from different areas of central and south Kashmir under Public Safety Act (PSA) on Thursday.
After the abrogation of the special status of Jammu and Kashmir, police arrested hundreds of people belonging to political and apolitical parties.
Among these were Nisar Ahmed Rather son of Ghulam Muhammad Rather, a resident of Dalwan Charar-e-Sharif; Mubarak Ahmed Dar son of Abdul Rehman Dar of Redwani Kulgam and Faheem Ahmed Sofi son of Muhammad Sultan Sofi, a resident of Mattan Anantnag. Sources said that police slapped PSA on these youths.
Among them, Nisar Ahmed Rather of Charar-e-Sharif was shifted to Kotbhalwal Jail, Jammu while Mubarak Dar and Faheem Sofi were lodged at Sub-jail Mattan in south Kashmir’s Anantnag district.
It is in place to mention that scores of youth are facing detention under the Public Safety Act in Kashmir Valley.
