Pulwama residents aghast over shifting of Agriculture office

PULWAMA — On the occasion of Friday prayers, all the clerics from main town Pulwama protested against the shifting of the Agriculture office from its previous place and demanded to reinstate it on its prior place.

According to the reports received from concerned citizens, the office was present in the Magray Building which was accessible to all farmers where they used to get quality seeds and other information regarding agricultural activities in a short span of time without any difficulty.

The people complained that after shifting the office to other places, they have to stay for a full day there without getting any facility at the end of the day.

During the Friday prayers, all the clerics unanimously opposed unilateral move of district administration while as the chief cleric of Mir Sahib Masjid Molvi Mohammad Amin demanded the reversal of such decision which is against the welfare of the people. Moreover, he sought the intervention of Director Agriculture and Deputy Commissioner in this regard.
