Srinagar: Terming the killing of a youth in Rafiabad as the worst kind of ‘state terrorism’, separatist camp Saturday castigated the government for the ‘misuse of power and the draconian laws to target the Kashmiri youth.’
Hurriyat Conference (M) Chairman, Mirwaiz Umer Farooq while terming the incident as a ‘cold blooded murder’ told KNS that such incidents give an impression of government and forces not respecting the human rights in the valley.
“These incidents now occur very often and give an impression that nobody is bothered of human lives in Kashmir,” Mirwaiz said. He said that on one side government was talking of dialogue and on the other such ‘inhuman’ acts were going on unabatedly.
Taking on central and state governments Mirwaiz asked, “How long will these people mislead the world?” He said the draconian and black laws must go to save the innocent lives in valley.
Meanwhile, Jammu and Kashmir Liberation Front Chairman Mohammad Yasin Malik while condemning the killing said that such acts were intolerable and inexcusable.
Another separatist leader Shabir Ahmad Shah said, “I have been saying from day one that state terrorism is at its peak in the state. The killing is the worst kind of state terrorism and should be strongly condemned.” He urged international human rights watch dogs to take notice of the incident.
In the meantime Hurriyat Conference (G) spokesperson Ayaz Akbar also condemned the killing and said that forces have gone out of control and nobody in the establishment was willing to stop these kind of acts.
