Railway cop dies in train accident in Pulwama

PULWAMA — A Railway policeman died in a train accident near Railway Station Panzgam in south Kashmir’s Pulwama district.

Sources said that the train hit the Head Constable at Panzgam Railway Station where he was posted.

The policeman died on the spot. He has been identified as Muhammad Hussain (12/GRP).

Three tourists injured after mini-bus skids off the road

At least three tourists were injured after a mini-bus skidded off the road on the Srinagar-Jammu highway near Goripora area of Awantipora on Friday.

Sources told news agency Kashmir News Trust that a bus (JK0AT-2367), in which 20 tourists were on board, met with an accident near Goripora Pulwama on the highway.

Police rushed to the spot and shifted the three injured persons to the hospital for treatment.

The mini-bus was on its way to Srinagar from Jammu.
