Regular uninterrupted Friday prayers taking place at Jamia Masjid: Police

SRINAGAR — Jammu and Kashmir Police on Friday said that regular uninterrupted Friday prayers are taking place at the historic Jamia Masjid every week.

In a tweet, Srinagar Police, as per the news agency KNO, said that Friday prayers are going on smoothly in Jamia Masjid (today). “Contrary to some statements, regular uninterrupted Friday afternoon prayers do take place at Jamia Masjid on every Friday.”

Earlier, some statements were made by some leaders that the administration should allow Friday prayers at the historic Jamia Masjid.
