River Police rescues man after he jumps into Jehlum

SRINAGAR — River Police on Friday rescued a man from Srinagar who allegedly tried to commit suicide by jumping into the river Jehlum near Abdullah Bridge.

Sources said that a man jumped into the river but was quickly rescued by River Police present at Pirzoo.

The man was retrieved alive. He has been identified as Rashid Yousuf Dar, a resident of Indira Nagar Sonawar.
