Six houses gutted during blaze in Kulgam

KULGAM — At least six residential houses were damaged in a fire incident that broke out in Chimmer area of Noorabad in south Kashmir’s Kulgam district on the intervening night of Thursday-Friday.

Locals said that the fire broke out in a residential house in Chimmer area and it soon engulfed nearby houses.

Fire tenders were rushed to the scene which doused the flames, officials said, adding that six houses were damaged in the fire incident.

The cause of the fire is being ascertained, officials said.
