PULWAMA — A special police officer (SPO) of Jammu and Kashmir Police died on Friday evening after suffering a cardiac arrest in southern Kashmir’s Pulwama district, officials said here.
Unnamed officials, quoted by the news agency NVI, said that the SPO, who was currently posted at District Police Lines Pulwama, lost consciousness and collapsed.

The SPO was taken to a medical center where he was pronounced dead upon arrival. The deceased was identified as Shabir Ahmad Bhat.
