SRINAGAR — A Srinagar man posted in Indian Army is missing from Jammu city since September 03, 2020.

The family of missing 50-year-old man Reyaz Ahmed Khan son of Late Amanullah Khan, a resident of Urdu Bazar Fateh Kadal staged a protest here in Press Enclave Srinagar, seeking his whereabouts.

His daughter Bazila Reyaz said that Reyaz Ahmed is posted at Bari Brahmana Jammu at CSD Army Canteen. “He had gone to bring his COVID-19 test from Government Medical College Jammu on September 3 and since then, he is untraceable,” she said.

She said a missing report in this regard has been lodged at Police Station Bakshi Nagar.

The missing man Reyaz Ahmed has a daughter, son, and an ailing mother. All the three were part of the protest. His daughter is going to get married next month.

A police official said that efforts are on to trace the missing Srinagar man. He said that CCTV footage shows the missing man has not visited the hospital on September 3. “A team has been constituted to trace the missing man,” he said.
